Concept

I was tasked to design a promotional ”wine” label for a fundraising event of a short film. The goal was to create a label that played with textures and conveyed the feeling of an established wine company. The label also needed to be aligned with the on going campaign at the time.

Inspiration & Guides


These are examples of design elements my creative director sent me as references, such as the double border or decorative bar in the center. These are the assets that I created during this campaign that my Creative Director wanted me to maintain. The font choice and rendering of the emblem are meant to mimic wood carvings or lino cuts to give an old and traditional feeling.


Iterations



These are the iterations I created. For a while, I didn’t have the exact dimensions of the bottle, so I focused primarily on the layout. There was a lot of back and forth regarding the placement of the emblem and which information needed to appear on the front. As you can see, all of the designs follow a very linear, centered layout with a classic feel. This approach supported the traditional and local theme we were aiming to achieve.
